Wisteria Place Newsletter August 2020

Posted on August 10th, 2020
Hello!
From Wisteria Place Community Relations Manager Maureen Fakaro

What an amazing last few weeks it has been. Between our Online Coffee Times, our webinars with Dr. Adrian Wagg, and our community outreach, we've been busy. If you've driven around Steveston recently, you'll have seen the latest development of Wisteria Place.

We are offering a variety of resources and opportunities to connect online. For those of you who are tech savvy or keen, you can find us on Facebook or Instagram or check out our website at wisteriaplace.ca. Not technologically inclined? Don’t despair! You can join our Online Coffee Times through the telephone. If you are a beginner to technology and want help finding our information or joining a Zoom call, please call Gurpreet, our Tech Guru, at (604) 710-8447.

Downsizing and making the transition to Senior Community Living can be a difficult time. Let the Wisteria Place team help you. Join our Online Coffee Time on August 13th, “Moving and Downsizing.”

With special guests Stephanie Chan of Home to Home Advisory Services and Max Madden of Madden Solutions—both specialists in moving seniors—we’ll be going over the best ways to take this important step. Visit wisteriaplace.ca/events to learn how to join.

Does one of your loved ones have dementia, or are you living with dementia yourself? Watch our webinar with Dr. Adrian Wagg. He went over what it is like to live with dementia, and how to continue leading a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Rather than focusing on treating a symptom illness or specific parts of the body, holistic wellness considers the whole person, their body, and how he or she interacts with his or her environment.

Are holistic health practices right for you? Read more at the Wisteria Place blog.
