Wisteria Place Newsletter February 2022

Posted on February 7th, 2022

February is looking festive for Wisteria Place, with us kicking off the month with Chinese New Year! Decorations are set and we are ready to welcome in the new year with a roar.

Wisteria Place remains in the spotlight with an article about our community posted in Shinpo – Vancouver's Japanese Weekly Newspaper (click here for the English version). We are proud to be recognized for our great community, lovely artwork, building, and team.

Another wonderful collaboration we have coming up is with River's Edge 32nd Girl Guides. They will be making and delivering Valentine's Day cards to our residents. We will be celebrating the holiday with a Valentine’s Day-themed happy hour, including crafts and decorations made by our residents, cupcakes, sweets, hot chocolate, and more, which will be served as part of our celebration.

The Wisteria Place team is always here to support and provide resources for our future and current residents. Let us know how we can welcome you home!

Stay Safe. Be Well. Take Care.

Beautiful Lavenders outside senior apartments

Resident Testimonial

“The staff are exceptionally kind, helpful, and patient. Adjusting from living in a house to a 1-bedroom suite was much easier than I expected! ... especially when you have a whole beautiful building to engage with!

Making new friends has been a great experience. I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet all these people had I not moved."

Lilianna a volunteer teaching activities for seniors

Volunteer Spotlight

All of our great events, happy hours, and crafts would not be possible without the help of our wonderful volunteers.

Meet Liliana! She joined us in December and loves to experiment with different artistic mediums. Our residents enjoy making new things with her, like soap, felting, and jewelry. They are looking forward to more innovative activities with Liliana.

A Resident Favourite Activity

A resident favourite activity is Drumfit—a cardio drumming program that combines the mental health benefits of drumming with the overall health benefits of physical fitness for a full-body workout!

You can relax with meals made for you daily, cleaning services, and access to all our fitness activities, outings, in-house entertainment, and events.
