Wisteria Place Newsletter July 2020

Posted on July 1st, 2020

Hello!

My name is Maureen Fakaro, and I am the Community Relations Manager of Wisteria Place.

When you get in touch with us, you'll be talking with me (or Community Relations Coordinator, Gurpreet Pannu), so I thought I'd take this chance to introduce myself.

I joined the Wisteria Place team in January 2020. I bring a wealth of experience to the community, having supported and worked with seniors for decades in various capacities. No matter what I do, it's with passion and the goal to manifest vibrancy and joy for individuals, teams, residents, staff, and any others I meet.

I want to help people find a welcoming home that suits them while making sure it surpasses their expectations. I love helping people make meaningful life choices and have fun.

My background includes roles as a leader in Senior Living, Senior Support Services, Human Resources, and Holistic Coaching. I prepared for these roles by studying Business, Human Resources, Holistic Health, Coaching, and Senior Care at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and Langara College.

I'm very committed to my family life, and I enjoy yoga, walking, singing, travel, and new adventures! I lived in Japan for 4 years and I love learning about other cultures and working towards life in harmony in all I do.

I'm pleased to be a part of this team and I can't wait to welcome you to Wisteria Place.

Sincerely,
Maureen Fakaro
